초록

Printing inks contain various chemicals, some of which are toxic to humans. These inks are commonly used in baby books, magazines, and packaging materials, including those for food and medicines. Because of the prevalence of printing inks, efforts have been made to manufacture ecofriendly inks containing no harmful substances. In previous studies, we have prepared ecofriendly inks that remove persistent organic pollutants from a pigment. In this study, we investigated their printed quality in terms of the color density, dry down, dot gain, trapping, and L*a*b* values. The results comply with the ISO 12647-2 specifications and demonstrate that these ecofriendly inks exhibit the same print quality as that exhibited by the existing printing inks. Therefore, future research will focus on quality stabilization of the inks for mass production.
