This paper is to study the behavior and various eccentric degrees of reinforced high-strength concrete columns subjected to uni-axial and bi-axial bending. A lot of high-rise buildings and super high-rise buildings have been existing in the world. The highstrength concrete is frequently used in these buildings, because of its efficiency to the high axial compressive forces. To analyze the effects of compressive strength of concrete, aspect ratio and eccentric degree on behavior of columns, 36 tied reinforced concrete columns with hinged ends were tested. Eccentric degees were O , 15 , 30 , 45 , the 100mmX100mm, 100mmX200mm section were used and the distance of eccentricity was 0.1H. The compressive strengths of column specimens with constant slenderness ratios( ) of 30 were 202, 548 and 793kgf/cm2. The steel ratio of columns with bending about a diagonal section and about a principal axis was 2.85%(4-D10) constantly. The measurement of lateral displacements of reinforced high strength concrete columns under uniaxial(0) and bi-axial(45) load were carried out by one-point LVDT but these of bi-axial(15 ,30) loads were carried out composition of three-point LVDT because the latter were effected on the torsion strength. When the reinforced concrete columns have same longitudinal steel ratio, the uni-axial(0) and bi-axial(15 ,30 ,45 )maximun load on reinforced concrete columns was not been contrasted in deviation, these of high-strength concrete columns were almost illustrated constant. Recognizing the stressstrain curve of steel, the reinforced concrete columns of eccentric degrees(0 , 45) showed common deformation behavior but these of eccentric degrees(15 ,30 ) at tensile steel sometimes revelaed compressive and tensile behavior repeatedly on the initial load because of torsional effect.
