This articles aims to examine the organization and military operations of the Patriotic Soldier Troop in the Western Gyeongsang Province(慶尙右道) at Early Imjin War from the point of view of warfare history. Until comparatively lately, the Patriotic Soldiers were understood as a country volunteer soldier based on loyalty. And they wree recognized that they had playhed a leading role for the whole seven-year Imjin War period. However the organization of Patriotic Soldier Troop and the form of military operations were not clearly made a profound study. Based on the reserches of Kim Myeon(金沔)'s Patriotic Soldier Troop in Goryeong of the Western Gyeongsang Province, the members of Patriotic Soldier Troop were composed mainly of the scattered Government forces soldiers and its military operating area was based on the Garrison Administrative System(鎭管體制) : National Defence depended heavily on local armies in the Early Joseon Dynasty. This conditions shows that the Patriotic Soldier Troop of Imjin War had characters of semi-Government forces soldiers. The future reserchers require aspects of military operations and military operating areas of the Patriotic Soldier Troop during Imjin War in addition to the comparative studies on the other Province Patriotic Soldier Troop
