The purpose of this study is to investigate the divorce education program for divorcing parents in the USA and to suggest the implications for the Korean society. Divorce education program for divorcing parents have been explosively developed and executed after 1990's in America. This paper analysed the social background of nationwide provision and examined conceptual foundation, topics presented, teaching strategies and evaluation efforts of the divorce education program. Few of program included a clear discussion of the conceptual foundation, K?bler-Ross' grief and loss model, Bohannan's stages of divorce model and cognitive-behavioral theory were referred. Various topic areas was covered, reliance on passive or limited parental involvement teaching strategies and formative, rather than summative, evaluation efforts. Recommendations for the design of divorce education program for divorcing parents in Korea were included.
