초록

Recently, carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) composite materials are widely used in various fields of engineering because of its advanced properties. Specially, woven CFRP composite materials are fabricated from carbon fibers with 2 orientation angle(0°/90°). That influences the mechanical properties of CFRP composite materials. So, woven CFRP shows the different fracture behavior according to load and fiber direction. Therefore, there need to consider fracture behavior according to load and fiber direction at designing structure by using woven CFRP materials.
In this study investigated the fracture toughness for plain woven CFRP composite materials under different angle condition. The tests was performed under three different angle condition(load to fiber angle: 0°, 30°, 45°) according to the standard of ASTM D3039 and E399. An effect of the fracture toughness on variation of the load and fiber direction was confirmed for woven CFRP composite.
