China and the Korean Peninsula have been frequently exchanged since ancient time. The Korean Peninsula has been one of the most important diplomatic counterpart to China during the historical events. There is no denying that translation did play an important role to form the relationship between two countries. It is true that the present results of studies are mostly about translation of Korean to Chinese, while the fruits to study translation of Chinese to Korean in ancient time are hard to find.
Thus, the paper will examine the organization to translate Korean and the number of people, the contents of Chinese-Korean translation and interpretation, and activities of translators according to the historical period of China. Through the study, it could be found that various translation methods were used to translate Chinese to Korean in ancient China, and it had relevance to the several fields of society. It also played a major role to promote friendship of two countries.
