초록

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of flexible space expression of the stage in media performances where digital technology is used. As a digital media is actively used, the space was produced as a main agent, and expression of imaginary world using the computer graphics images created a variable and dynamic stage. Also, the space production through interaction between the performer and stage changes and extends the synesthetic experience of the audiences and suggests various possibilities of methods for expressing the stage space. By analyzing the recent work “Hakanai” by The Adrien M / Claire B Company, a media performance group that presents these characteristics well, this study aims to find out specific characteristics of the expandability of digital stage space. Thus, this study aims to understand the characteristics of digital media by proposing the possibility of space expression which is only doable by digital media and provide other stage management opportunities that are different from traditional space production.
