The purpose of this research is to investigate the degree of perception about judo class in high schools. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, total 350 high school students, 150 (100 boys, 50 girls) in the 10th grade and 200(100 boys, 100 girls) in the 11th grade, were selected out of three high schools in Kyungki province. These students were selected by stratified cluster random sampling method. 47 questionnaires out of 350 were excluded in this study as the quality of the answers to the questionnaire were not up to the standard. The questionnaires which were used by the previous study of Kim J. U., Kim H. S., Kim M. O.(2001) were partly used for this study after some alteration to suit this study. We visited subjects` schools and put questionnaires to subjects by judo teachers` permission. After explaining the purpose and contents of questionnaires we collected the questionnaires answered by self-administration method. As the method of data analysis descriptive analysis(frequency and percentage) was used for multiple choice questions. Opened questions were analysed by inductive analyzation method and after encoding each category subject we calculated frequency and percentage according to sex distinction. Chi-square analysis was also used to investigate the difference of perception between boy and girl students after figuring out the frequency and percentage of subordinate variant factors. The result of the analysis of this study is as follows. First, the reason for liking judo class is the interest in judo, the improvement of physical strength and health, the special feature of judo class, making good friendship, good class mood, behavior of judo teacher, and the success of skill in order of preference. Second, the reason for disliking judo class is contents of judo class, poor facilities and environment, over support training, judo uniform, mood of judo class, failing competition, and behavior of judo teacher in order of dislike. Third, the areas which need to be improved in judo class are facilities and environment, learning more skills, mood of class, behavior of teacher, too hard support training, more of free practise time and formal competition in order. Forth, there was no noticeable difference between boys and girls on the reasons for satisfactory judo class. There was noticeable difference between boys and girls on the reason for hating judo class.
