The purpose of this study was to assess influence of recovery types on the change of blood lactate in soccer players. 10 male soccer players with mean age of 21.0 years were participated in the study. The subjects were divided into three groups according to the recovery types including control, sports massage, and movement recovery group. Body height and weight were measured. Maximal treadmill exercise test was done by Bruce protocol at the speed of 1.7km/h on the degree of 10% with increasing 2% every 2 min until all out. Blood samples were obtained from the antecubital vein. All data were analyzed by SAS software program. Means and standard deviations were calculated. Repeated measures ANOVA was applied for changes of parameters at rest, after maximal exercise, and during recovery. Result of the study showed that blood lactate concentration for three groups were significantly changed(p<0.01) from rest to recovery time. Significant differences were found in blood lactate concentration between groups and with time and interaction effect. Although LDH5 for control group was not changed from rest to maximal exercise, significant increase could be obtained for sports massage and exercise groups. During recovery times LDH5 was decreased for sports massage and exercise groups except for control group. Therefore, this study can suggest that after maximal exercise sports massage and exercise type for recovery may be effective for reducing blood lactate concentration.
