In this study, the musical virtuosos who spent their whole life for Namdo music are dealt with. Korean traditional music has been transmitted mostly through the professional artists of shaman rituals. It is important to know the musicians who performed Namdo music and its genealogy to understand the music. It gives us the clue to understand the superiority of Namdo music and the flows of its genealogy. Hwasun was the cultural center of the Namdo area since it is located in the middle of Jeolla province. The appearance of official kesaeng helped develop music culture with their frequent performances of singing, dancing and playing instruments. The cultural exchange with shaman music became the background of the music culture of Hwasun area and produced a large number of musical virtuosos. The most popular pansori virtuoso was Gim Chae-man, the most well-known instrumentalist was Han Suk-ku, and Bak Young-gu was the best dancer. Kim who succeeded Bak Yu-jeon and Yi Nal-chi was popular as a virtuoso of Seopyonje. He was followed by such virtuosos as Bak Hwa-seop, Han seong-tae, sin yong-ju, bak Jong-won, gim Jeong-mun, gong chang-sik and Bak dong-sil. Han suk-ku's gayageum sanjo became the mother of many schools of gayageum sanjo such as An gi-ok school, Jeong nam-ok school, Jeong Nam-hui school, Seo gong-cheol school, Gim Yun-deok school, and Hwang Byeong-gi school. Han's daegeum sanjo had great influence on Han Su-dong and Han Ju-hwan and each of them formed his own school of daegeum sanjo. Han's daegeum sinawi influenced Gang Baek-cheon to make his own style of daegeum sanjo. Han Il-seop's ajaeng sanjo, Han Gap-deuk's geomungo sanjo, and many other sanjo of different instruments were all born under Han Suk-ku's influence. Bak yeong-gu's dance was handed down to the virtuoso Yi Mae-bang. The virtuosos of Hwasun area had a great influence on sanjo music and their achievements put Namdo music on a solid foundation.
