This paper propose an intelligent restoration algorithm for newly extended distribution substations equipped with double bus double brakers structure, which are widely used in Korean power systems. The complete hierarchical restoration process are proposed in detail including distribution buses which have extended topology. As the dramatic intelligent automation of power systems is in progress so far, it is anticipated that the results would be applied to IEC protocols in the future as well as the state estimation function for distribution substations.
