This study was intended to do basic research on exercise prescriptive basis fo r maintaining the health level of middle-aged women by analyzing regional bone mineral density and isokinetic muscular function of middle-aged women with sarcopenia syndrome, and obtained the following results. First, for body composition, the amount of fat showed significant results with the normal group being 23.67±9.36 and the sarcopenia group being 15.20±3.69, the muscle mass of the normal group being 38.95±2.38 and the sarcopenia group being 33.04±1.49, and total weight without fat of the normal group being 41.43±2.53 and the sarcopenia group being 35.08±1.41.
Second, according to the result of analyzing the Bone mineral deansity, lumbar bone density was significant with the normal group being 1.2 26±0.204 and the sarcopenia group being 1.042±0.086 and t-value of lumbar bone density of the normal group being 0.18±1.59 and the sarcopenia group being -1.21±0.68.
Thirdly, according to the result of analyzing 300°/sec isokinetic muscular function, the right flexor muscle showed significant results as the normal group was 68.53±21.09 and the sarcopenia group was 51.53±12.07 and the left flexor muscle showed significant result as well as the normal group was 79.031±32.27 and the sarcopenia group was 50.52±16.94.
A relationship between muscle and bone through muscle mass can only be explained in part because the effect of muscle on bone includes not only muscle mass but quality of muscle as well. Intervention studies on more diverse sarcopenia should be activated through a cross-sectional study on sarcopenia of middle-aged people in the future.
