The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of corporate social responsibility on related perceived value congruence and corporate image. This study examined whether firstly, perceived corporate social responsibility(CSR) dimensions influenced related perceived value congruence. Data were acquired from 371 customers who visited hotels in Seoul area. The statistical tools to be undertaken in this research were frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, covariance analysis, structural equation modeling(SEM) using the statistical package of SPSS(18.0) and AMOS(18.0). The results of this study could be summarized as follows; First, corporate social responsibility(CSR) of hotel industry, had significant influence on social value congruence. The more the legal, economic, ethical and charity responsibility CSR are, the higher the level of social value congruence they perceived. Second, customer perceived social value congruence and core value congruence, had significant influence on corporate image. And core value congruence, had significant influence on of hotel corporate image. Third, the legal responsibility of corporate social responsibility(CSR), had significant influence on corporate image and charity responsibility of corporate social responsibility(CSR), had significant influence on corporate image. Fourth, it was found that it exerts a greater influence when the value congruence perceived by the customer was used as a mediating variable. Based on the results of this study, theoretical and practical implications were discussed.
