β-Glucan is well-established immune boosting agent, and its impact on Dectin-1 is dependent on particular nature such as structure and physical properties. In this experiment, we compared the physical properties and immunositmulatory activity depend on pretreatment method in macrophages. The alkali-treated β-glucan had a distinct shape and smaller particles size than untreated β-glucan.
