With the growing adoption of renewable energy resources in buildings, photovoltaics installation is increasing. Among them, building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) design has attracted increasing attention worldwide as a way of achieving increased energy efficiency and green house emission reductions. BIPV technologies can not only combine electricity generation with other functions of building materials to yield on-site electricity, but also give an aesthetical and modern appearance. There are various parts of a building to integrate PV systems with building facades, such as exterior walls, roofs, windows, and exterior blinds. To get a successful BIPV project, many considerations for applications should be checked in a practical manner. One of the major considerations is avoidance of shadow effects, especially when BIPV design is applied to blinds. Blinds are one of the main purposes of blocking direct sunlight to reduce summer cooling loads. Therefore, adjusting the PV blind angle to block direct sunlight results in partial shading on the PV blind surface, which reduces the power generation of the PV module. More shading effects on PV modules of the blinds, less will be the energy efficiency of blind PV modules. Many studies have conducted shading effects of p ... 전체 초록 보기
