This study attempted to find out how Korean learners learn ‘de’ complement, which is classified into ‘potential complement’, ‘degree complement’ and ‘stative complement’. In order to understand the learning patterns of ‘de’ complement of Koreans, the writing exam answers of Korean candidates at HSK Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University were searched. A total of 2,254 sentences were searched, of which 1,522 were correct and 732 were erroneous. The 2,254 sentences above were classified into ‘potential complement’, ‘degree complement’ and ‘stative complement’, and the error types of each complement sentence were examined. Furthermore, the learning patterns were examined by detailing ‘potential complement’ into 9 sentence types, ‘degree complement’ into 7 sentence types, and ‘stative complement’ into 15 sentence types. The frequency of appearance, exact frequency of use, and accuracy rate were statistically calculated according to the detailed sentence form and the accuracy rate was statistically calculated according to the learner’s level, and the degree and difficulty of learning for each detailed sentence type were analyzed.
