In the past, production processes required a large amount of manpower to process, transport, and assemble, with many external variables depending on the location or condition of the worker, conditions of the raw material, and processing method. Thus, the process efficiency fluctuated greatly. To control these variables, the current production process minimizes manpower and automates the process using robots. However, because this approach has different variables for each factory that manufactures the products, the highest production efficiency should be reviewed considering the limited factory area, as detailed process line design and expensive equipment may be required by each factory. Hot stamping is a method that can mold ultra-high-strength steel and has received considerable attention in the automobile industry, which is increasing the technical need for lightweight vehicles as the international environment and fuel efficiency regulations have recently been strengthened. An optimization algorithm was used to determine the most efficient or optimal solution for a given problem. In this study, the existing hot-press method was analyzed by applying the optimization algorithm; production efficiency was improved; and process optimization was performed through simulation analysis.
