The purpose of this study was to analyze the sports participation characteristics of elementary school ice hockey players and their career decision-making about entering middle school. The results are as follows. First, the most common motivation for exercising was recommendation from friends, and the most common reason for exercising was hobby activities. Second, in terms of career decision-making for elementary school ice hockey players, values were the highest personal characteristic, and in terms of home and school environment, relatives and siblings had the greatest influence. Third, in the personal characteristics of elementary school ice hockey players' career decision-making according to their sports motivation, parental recommendation, friend's recommendation, and teacher and leader recommendation were generally high in all factors. In addition, among the personal characteristics of career decision-making according to exercise purposes, hobbies and physical health were generally high. Fourth, in the home and school environments of elementary school ice hockey players' career decision-making according to their sports motivation, parental recommendation, teacher and leader recommendation, and friend recommendation were generally high. In addition, physical health and hobby activities were generally high in the home and school environments for career decision-making according to sports purposes.
