    In this paper, the transient performance of a simple OTA PLL(Phase Locked Loop) circuit for OTA-C filters is analyzed in detail. Instead of a VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), a VCF(Voltage Controlled Filter) is used in this PLL circuit. The simulations have been carried out by circuit simulator PSpice, for the case where the OTAs were realized as CMOS OTAs. And the experiments have been done for the case where the PLL was built with discrete components and bipolar OTAs(CA3080). Both the simulations and the experiments confirmed the expected PLL performances.
