    In this paper, we describes MODEM design of 5 MHz band wideband CDMA PCS proposed by ETRI. MODEM consists of modulator for the reverse channel and demodulator for the forward channel. Modulator performs BPSK modulation with pilot, convolution coding, interleaving and FIR filtering. Also demodulator performs PN code acquisition with double dwell scheme. Delay Locked Loop(DLL) code tracking and coherent demodulation. It provides 32 kbps ADPCM voice service and inband signalling. And it handles up to 32.768 MHz master clock and 4.096 Mcps chip rate. It was implemented using FPGA and verified through functional test.
