One-dimensional semiconductor nanostructures, such as nanowires (NWs), nanotubes, and nanobelts, have been investigated extensively due to their unique optical, electrical, and magnetic properties with potential applications in electronics, optoelectronics, and sensors. Serving as the basic building blocks, these one-dimensional nanostructures can be assembled and integrated into complex functional devices. Tremendous amount of resources and efforts have been invested in this area and many nanoscale semiconductor materials have been synthesized, characterized, and integrated into devices. Cadmium telluride (CdTe) is a II-VI compound semiconductor material which has many potential applications including photovoltaics due to its direct energy band gap of 1.44eV with high optical absorption coefficient. While the CdTe thin film has been extensively researched and investigated over 20 years, limited works investigated the one-dimensional CdTe nanostructures as sensing and optoelectronic ,materials. Several methods have been developed to synthesize CdTe nanowires, including solution based chemical synthesis, self-assembly CdTe nanoparticles, as well as template-directed electrodeposition. Template-direct ... 전체 초록 보기
