The murine Arrest-defective protein 1225(mARD1225) has been reported to acetylates Lys532 in hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and thereby degrades HIF-1α via ubiquitination. Although humanARD1235 (hARD1235) has not effect on HIF-1α degradation but binds and acetylates beta-catenin in vitro. So far, the function of mARD1225 and hARD1235 in vivo still remains unclear. In this study, transgenic mice were generated via microinjection of a DNA construct containing the hARD1235 fused with His9-HRV2-Myc9 gene driven by a chicken beta-actin promoter.
