This study is to investigate the effect of participation motives in online sports community on community consciousness and sports activity. For the object of this study, we selected out 500 people in total that was composed of 221 men and 279 women who join a Online(Internet) Sports Club in 2010.
Frequency Analysis, Searching Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis using SPSS Window 15.0 Version were performed to analyze statistical data ,and it processed the data by computer according to the analysis purpose. The conclusion of this study on the basis of the data analysis by these methods is as follows. First, the participation motives in online sports community partially influenced on online community consciousness. Second, the participation motives in online sports community partially influenced on sports activity. Third, the online community consciousness influenced on sports activity in part.
