Domestic wind power CDM project is limited to the mainland so far, and the baseline has been estimated from the same grid network system for the mainland and Jeju island as well. However, the grid electricity of Jeju Island does not come from the mainland but there is just ‘electric power supply’ from the mainland. Therefore, the current baseline system is unreasonable to apply for Jeju wind power CDM projects. In this study, an application plan is prepared and recommended which considers a new baseline reflecting the characteristics of grid electricity system between Jeju Island and the mainland. Also, the proper emission reduction is estimated for Jeju Island CDM projects. In future, it is expected that the proposed methodology be adopted and referred to when considering similar CDM projects in Jeju Island.
