The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between religious volunteering and the faith of seniors. This study also aims to develop a fundamental rationale for Christian adult education. After elderly congregants participate in religious volunteering, they experience a strengthened faith and an enhanced Christian identity through reflections on their volunteering and interactions with other volunteers and beneficiaries. Thus, this study concludes that the relationship between religious volunteering and the faith development of seniors is interdependent, and reflection is a crucial part of religious volunteering. The implications that this study provides are the following: (1) faith development research must include more research methods to deal with the faith of seniors; (2) Christian educators and church leaders should cooperate to help and support the elderly to choose volunteer activities that fit them and facilitate their reflection on their volunteering; and (3) senior volunteers should actively participate in the process of planning, implementing, and evaluating religious volunteering.
