    To achieve green building, proper passive design strategies and active control methods are essential to minimize the energy demands for heating, cooling and lighting. In this study, the effect of passive design strategies on peak cooling in office building according to the building load analysis methods such as RTS(Radiant Time Series) method and Energyplus. Even though, there are lots of passive design strategies to reduce the energy demand in buildings, however the effect can not be quantified according to the building load analysis methods. In this study, as a peak cooling load calculation method, RTS and Energyplus was reviewed. The results were analysed by design of experiment (DOE) and ANOVA method was used to analyze the effect the passive design strategies on peak cooling load.
