초록· 키워드

This study is a longitudinal study based on the researcher’s original doctoral dissertation from 1993. This study describes the characteristics of faith styles and faith development among 1,618 adult Korean Christians in 1993 and 536 Sunday school teachers in 2015. This study is seeking to highlight any changes or differences in the perception of faith and on the faith development between the original research in 1993 and second research in 2015. The purpose of research was to describe the characteristics of the styles of faith and faith development among adult Korean Christians in the Korean Evangelical Holiness Church in Korea. Both studies indicated that a relationship with God reflects their definitions of faith, for the perception of faith. Women (92%) are more likely than men (81%) to define faith as a relationship with God. There was no difference among age groups regarding perception of faith as relationship with God. For the styles of faith, the relationship orientation for members of the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church is also shown in their faith styles. The result of the faith styles indicates a greater vertical faith (65%) and very low horizontal faith (15%).
