In this globalized society, the Korean Church as a whole has a calling for educating its next generation to be global Kingdom workers who go and make disciples of "all nations." English ministry has been one of the effective ways for the Korean Church to bear such a calling. This article explores the purpose of existence and the meaning of English ministry in the Korean Church. It deals with counterarguments to criticisms against English ministry as well as its benefits to argue for its meaningfulness. In the later part, as one of the proactive purposes, the study pays special attention to the contribution of English ministry to the development of English schemata from the biblical perspective, which serves as the foundation of our next generation’s global working for expanding God"s Kingdom.
