This study attempts to explore how infertile women report their experience in cyberspace. Though the number of infertile women in South Korea is increasing, research concerning their psychological states is rare. Using a qualitative method, the researcher hopes to examine how infertile women discourse their experience in cyberspace. The results show that in the emotional domain of emotional distress category, themes such as depression, anxiety and anger/guilt were drawn and in the emotional relief category, hopeful and relief were retrieved. In the behavioral domain of social isolation category, withdrawal, damaged married life and threatening health activities were reported and in the seek help category, continuously seeking medical help and seeking support from friends and family were drawn. Finally, in the cognitive domain of negative thoughts category, self-criticism, confusion and denial were often experienced and in the positive thoughts category, confirmation and appreciation were obtained. Results for on-line data are aimed to contribute to an improved understanding of the psychological and behavioral nature of infertile women in Korea.
