    We propose reduced-delay differential chaos shift keying (DCSK) by dividing a bit interval into M slots to overcome the difficulty of implementing long delay line in the conventional DCSK. Using the proposed scheme, we can reduce delay line, and also improve performance as compared with the conventional DCSK. We analyze the performance on additive white Gaussian noise channel. Analytical results are verified by computer simulation. difficult because basis function cannot be regenerated at the receiver unless the initial condition of the chaotic signal generator used at the transmitter is given. The DCSK is easier to embody basis function since it can be recovered from the reference signal. However, the half bit period delay line, which is required to transmit reference signal, is not feasible for practical applications. Therefore, a method to reduce the delay line is required. We propose a new scheme with reduced delay line, and provide signal decision scheme by hard decision or soft decision. In section 2, the performance of proposed scheme is analyzed. Simulation results are shown in section 3. Finally, we conclude in section 4.
