Netsilik Eskimo Film Series of Asen Balikci not only aroused not a little social sensation but also gave an significant opportunity to reflect the aspect of education and video recordings. Subsequently, a new prospect emerged even in the humanities due to the development of communication technology. Kim Hyeon engaging in Cultural Informatics began to develope the database of cultural heritages, and recorded the cultural phenomena happening in local time and space by using the high-technology and then conducted innovative work to spread them to the public. And a book composed of these records were published. In this book, he elaborately wrote his many concerns experienced from planing to practical affairs, and the efforts to address them. However, as is often the case with innovative works, a few incomplete elements are shown in some areas. In the aspect of video and image among a lot of contents addressed in the book, more specific and elaborate discussions and alternatives are not presented in the international cooperations, trends, ‘funny’, and the wholeness and structuring of knowledge. If many kinds of researchers discuss these problems, more definite and productive performances are expected to be promoted in the future.
