The Special Act on the Promotion and Support of Urban Regeneration was enacted in June 2013. The purpose of this Act is to build a framework for the promotion of integrated policy for area-based approach. This law is largely consist of organizational structure, planning system and support system. This article attempted to enhance the understanding of the newly-enacted urban regeneration law. For this reason, I explained background of the enactment of the law and main law clauses by category.
