To evaluate flaws in reactor pressure vessel head penetration nozzles, it is important to consider the geometric constraints for each of the flaws. ASME B&PV code sec. XI proposed the evaluation procedure and acceptance criteria for the flaws detected in in-service inspection, but for some cracks, the code requires case-by-case evaluation. For the crack cases, we have performed limit load analysis to evaluate plastic collapse and elastic-plastic J analysis to evaluate the crack initiation. Though the analysis, structural integrity was confirmed for the cracks in operating pressure condition.
