Recently against the energy crisis due to the oil price surge and strengthening environmental regulations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions the prototype of the open type operating system for building and energy management system(BEMS) was developed. The main concept and definition of open type operating system for BEMS were established and the architecture was also composed to explain the structure and functions of each components of the operating system. Various softwares were developed such as design manager, field manager, data interface module, software integration module for local unit module and device library, data/function/module library for open type BEMS platform.
Through this proactive open type BEMS operating system building energy management technology will be rapidly promoted and related products and greenhouse gas reduction targets of the Korea government will be able to support the attainment.
