This article examined how children"s narrative writer of the 1920s, the outset of children"s literature, proceeded to make efforts to reach out to children readers. In order to understand this, I made Bang Jeonghwan"s masterpiece "All Time Shirt” (Mannyeon saysseu 만년샤쓰) as an analysis subject. In the 1920s, Bang wrote school-related children"s narratives, and as a children’s rights activist, he was very aware of children and school. Analysis of the "All Time Shirt" showed that although the speaker repeatedly presented Chang-nam as a subjective figure, the interiority of the child within the narrative in the speaker’s gaze, Chang-nam, was not revealed. As a result, we could summarize that the writer"s intention to lead the children prevented the speaker from revealing the interiority of Chang-nam.
