This study introduces a case of hunting tourism which has been developed in Nishiokoppemura as a symbiotic program among human and wildlife. The social economic and cultural phenomena were analyzed in this case. Then, implications for the promotion of ecotourism was suggested. The findings of this study are as follows. First, ecotourism can be used as a tool of harmful wildlife measures. Second, cooperative relationship between local governments, residents and academic experts is important in all the processes. Both Guide’s will as a professional and residental supports are essential key to maintain well-organized partnership governance. Third, specific programs will induce visitors to persue more qualitative values(happ -iness, comfort, natural proximity etc.) than quantitative goals(tourist numbers, hotel accommodations etc.). Fourth, it is necessary to design of collective tourism reflecting the natural environment and the socio-cultural characteristics from local people. Lastly, long-term preparation, comprehensive research and application by experts in various fields are demanded with the ideas of ecotourism. to operate and manage the programs thoroughly.
