This study analyzed the wage gap and job satisfaction by employment type in Busan, Ulsan, and Kyungnam, and the results are summarized as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the total wage gap between regular and non - regular workers in the southeastern region, the wage level of non - regular workers was only 51.4% (Busan 57.5%, Ulsan 42.6%, Gyeongnam 51.6%) compared to regular workers. Second, as a result of analyzing the differences in job satisfaction between regular and non - regular workers in the South - eastern region, the regular workers were significantly higher in all regions and Ulsan had the largest difference in job satisfaction by employment type. Third, the net wage gap between regular and non - regular workers is estimated to be 19.7% (Busan 23.0%, Ulsan 21.5%, Gyeongnam 14.6%), and the job satisfaction gap is 16.6%(Busan 13.4%, Ulsan 19.4%, Gyeongnam 18.2%). The results of this analysis will lead to a decline in job satisfaction due to relative deprivation, a decrease in productivity, and a decline in national competitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to abolish unreasonable discrimination between regular and irregular workers and to strengthen the regularization policy of permanent and permanent jobs.
