The sources of chemical accidents can be classified into gas, liquid, or two-phase leaks, depending on the physical state of the material. In the case of liquid leaks, if the temperature and pressure are not high enough to promote vaporization, a pool is formed on the surface. Existing chemical dispersion models mainly focus on calculating the concentration in the downwind direction of such pools, with limited consideration for upwind areas. This study addresses these limitations by integrating Bresenham's circle-drawing algorithm and the Gaussian plume model using Excel VBA to analyze data. The Bresenham algorithm was applied to account for the upwind area from the pool center, while the Gaussian plume model was employed to calculate the concentration of dispersed substances. The results show that the model using the Midpoint Algorithm provides significantly higher accuracy in close-range areas compared to ALOHA's 5-point Algorithm, enhancing the reliability and efficiency of chemical accident response. These findings are expected to contribute to advancements in modeling techniques for chemical accident management and safety planning.
