초록·키워드
The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of academic efficacy and college adaptation on subjective well-being of freshmen in Chinese universities. The research method is statistical analysis. It was conducted based on the survey data of 510 freshmen in three Chinese universities. The results showed that there was no significant effect of gender and region of origin on academic efficacy, college adaptation, and subjective well-being, but there was a significant difference between majors and parental education levels. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between academic efficacy, college adaptation, and subjective well-being. The results of the linear regression analysis showed that academic efficacy had a positive effect on subjective well-being, and college adaptation had a positive effect on subjective well-being. This study revealed that academic efficacy and college adaptation have a positive effect on the subjective well-being of freshmen. This means that the more freshmen have academic confidence and adapt smoothly to college life, the higher their happiness and life satisfaction. It also suggests that psychological and environmental factors play a more important role in subjective well-being than individual background characteristics. This study can be used as a basis for improving subjective well-being to directly improve the psychological state of college students and enhance academic motivation, social adaptability, and future career development.
