This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the choice attributes of pet food and purchase intention and the effect on pet health perception. This study was conducted from 01 June 2024 to 20 June 2024 in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, Korea, among consumers who have purchased pet food in the past, using a convenience sampling method. The final analysis of 225 questionnaires was conducted using the SPSS 25.0 programme. First, among pet choice attributes, quality, brand, and trust were found to have a significant effect on health perceptions, while price had no significant effect. Second, perceived pet health has a significant impact on purchase intention. Third, among the attributes of choice for pet food, quality, brand, and trust had a significant effect on purchase intention, while price had no significant effect. This study provides an academic basis for understanding the relationship between pet food, purchase intentions, and health perceptions, and provides practical implications for product development and effective marketing strategies to increase sales by understanding consumers' intentions to purchase pet food.
