초록·키워드
This study examines the expressive qualities of choreographic space in the dance work Rhythm Code, which was structured using Maurits Cornelis Escher’s tessellation technique and grounded in Gilles Deleuze’s concept of representation. By applying Deleuze’s ontological and sensory-based philosophy of non-representational representation, this research explores the potential of multi-perspectival stage space and the expansion of choreographic expression beyond conventional representational forms. The work visualizes a dynamic interplay of movement, object, music, costume, and projection, emphasizing spatial metaphors such as chaotic fragmentation, nomadic contingency, and energetic repetition. Through a theoretical and analytical approach, the study redefines the stage not as a passive backdrop, but as an active and generative entity. This research contributes to the field of contemporary dance by proposing a new choreographic methodology that aligns spatial expression with philosophical aesthetics, and by foregrounding the stage as a site of emergent meanings
