This paper analyzes disequilibrium theories of migration, focusing on territorial, life-course, gender, and epochal factors. Drawing on the migration theories of Ravenstein and Todaro & Harris, it examines how economic modernization, unemployment, and educational attainment influence migration decisions. Based on the 1963 and 1985 censuses, linear probability models are applied to identify patterns across different regional and demographic contexts. The study concludes that, far from being irreversible, migration flows reflect deep structural changes, highlighting the growing displacement from small localities to larger cities.
