This study was conducted to determine the effects of a 12-week myofascial release program on concentration, brain activity, and brain stress in university students. The participants were divided into an experimental group (n=16) and a control group(n=17). The intervention was implemented twice a week for 60 minutes per session over a 12-week period. All participants were assessed before and after the intervention using electroencephalographic(EEG) measurements to evaluate concentration, brain activity, and brain stress. The analysis revealed that concentration in the experimental group increased by 5.55%, although the change was not statistically significant, whereas the control group exhibited a significant decrease of 21.78% ( p<.001). Moreover, a significant interaction effect between group and time was observed ( F=12.966, p<.01). Brain activity showed a 9.49% reduction in the experimental group, which was statistically significant( p<.05), while the control group demonstrated a 4.78% reduction without statistical significance. A significant time effect was also confirmed( F=5.386, p<.05). Regarding brain stress, the experimental group exhibited a significant decrease of 13.89% ( p<.05), whereas the control group showed only a 2.37% reduction with no significance. Importantly, both the time effect( F=23.370, p<.001) and the main effect between groups( F=9.904, p<.01) were statistically significant. these findings provide empirical evidence that a 12-week myofascial release program is effective in preventing the decline of concentration, stabilizing brain activity, and alleviating brain stress in university students.
