Efficient extraction, purification, and accurate analysis are essential for advancing both basic research and applications of lignans. This review comprehensively summarizes recent methodological advancements in the isolation, separation, and characterization of lignans, emphasizing chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. By integrating theoretical frameworks with practical protocols, the review provides a foundation for future studies and industrial utilization of lignans as valuable bioactive compounds.
