This study aimed to develop a torso length sloper and grading rules specifically for unisex clothing patternmaking. As oversized unisex and genderless fashion gained popularity, there was a notable gap in research regarding torso length slopers and grading rules tailored for this category. Most unisex clothing tends to be oversized, often resulting in garments that are too large for women. Furthermore, the sizing systems employed by apparel brands frequently fail to consider the body sizes of both men and women adequately. This research was conducted to enhance satisfaction among male and female consumers regarding the fit of unisex clothing. To create the unisex torso length sloper, we analyzed the standard dimensions of size 95, taking into account the distribution of men and women based on chest circumference, body shape characteristics, and average body sizes. The grading rules for the unisex torso length sloper were developed by considering the variations in body sizes across different chest circumference ranges. To validate the effectiveness of the unisex torso length sloper and its grading rules, we conducted fitting tests for each size using CLO 3D software. The results confirmed that the fit was suitable.
