Objective : The aim of this study is to propose a mobile application “Heart” that can receive messages based on motion graphics and haptic vibrations, and research how these functions can deliver feelings of context beyond text messages. Introduction : The number of international students living apart from family is increasing every year, and they are facing a lot of difficulties, meaning that homesick can be a major problem. Therefore, we decided to focus on this issue, and have researched to complement the weakened social fabrics between family members living apart. Method : We conducted contextual Inquiry(CI) with six international students, and found out that international students need a medium for communications that enables them to contact with their family in appropriate context and to feel the existence of their family.
