    This paper describes the structural behavior of the RS beam which is a hybrid steel beam with reinforced concrete ends. Six beams were tested to examine structural behavior and design method. Four of them were used to compare the effects of reinforcement details, construction method, and loading type. The others were to investigate the effects of constraining method of steel beam to concrete. The test results examined in this study were crack parterns, failure modes, strengths, and load-deflection curves, reinforcement types, connection methods, and deformations of shear reinforcement. The validity of the design method was also discussed in details.
