The objective of this study is to suggest an observation-based methodology for the investigation of MSDs(musculoskeletal disorders). A general method to find the risk factors of MSDs is a spot survey by experts. The recent researches were trying to find that, by using video data. In this study, we performed the investigation into the risk factors of MSDs using two methods: the general field research by experts and the behavior analysis using video data. Based on the comparison of results from two methods, we confirmed the possibility of using user observation method in investigation into the risk factors of MSDs. It is expected that user observation method is helpful for risk factor investigations of MSDs in small scale business or continuous investigation process across all industries.
