This study was examined to confirm the mediating effects of resilience on the relation between academic stress and college adjustment in nursing students. Data were collected from a total of 372 nursing students responding to questionnaires in G city. Data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, Pearson coefficient correlation and hierarchical regression analysis. To examine the mediating effect, the study used sobel test. The findings were as follows. First, academic stress negatively effected college adjustment. Second, academic stress was negatively effected resilience. Third, nursing student’s resilience has a partial mediating effect on the relation between academic stress and college adjustment. The results indicate a need to develop programs that effectively promote the resilience of nursing students to decrease academic stress and to increase college adjustment.
