It was the late period of Goryo dynasty that many important changes were happened in the field of metal craftwork and it was brought with manufacturing the bell of Yonbok-temple(演福寺) by craftsman who came from Yuan(元) dynasty of China. Even the style which had been brought by these Chinese craftsman was partly impacted to the following period of early Chosun dynasty, it was also variated and newly established an unique Korean bell style during this time which was distinguished from Chinese one. And I think we should pay attention to the compromise between traditional and new styles in that period, which was possible in consequence of their preserve an old style from Unified Shilla Dynasty. In case of metal drum of this period, it was disappeared that the form of side-punched sympathetic hole, and trough out a comparative study of some pieces of middle period's metal drum of Chosun dynasty, we can recognized that the Sanskrit character had appeared in early Chosun period under the impact of late Koryo dynasty. Talking about relic case, it was a vogue that resembled to the form of Lamaist stylized type stupa of Yuan(元) dynasty, and it was also this time that celadon and white porcelain became to be used for a relic case. We also can notice that the funerary stupa form of relic case was begun to manufactured at this time. The incense bowl of mounted cup type, which had been increasing appeared from late 13th, was continued to the Chosun dynasty with some variation, but the type of ritual sprinkler was completely changed to new form. At last, we can summarize this period that even it was an unstable period under the political interference of Yuan(元) dynasty, Koryo craftsman established a new tradition in a field of metal craft work by making a compromise between new Chinese and traditional Unified Shilla style, and this new style was continued to the early Chosun dynasty.
